Hira Mansur, a contemporary artist based in Lahore, Pakistan, holds an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Arts, London, and a BFA from the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore, Pakistan. Her work has been showcased at the prestigious Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery in London. Within Pakistan her work has been exhibited at the Sanat Initiative and Koel Gallery in Karachi and Rohtas Gallery in Lahore. Specialising in watercolours and gouache, Mansur intricately builds layers, creating hyper realistic pieces that incorporate needle-pricked images, exploring her own personal history as an adopted child. Mansur has earned accolades, including a full scholarship and the Haji Sharif Prize in Miniature Paintings at the NCA. In 2023 her work was featured in the May issue of Artells Magazine and the November issue of Marika Magazine. Mansur's miniatures reflect modernist influences, yet she remains committed to traditional methods, honouring the heritage of miniature painting in the subcontinent and the NCA's undergraduate department. Mansur continues to have ties to her alma mater by teaching courses periodically as adjunct faculty.
